FORMER
REFORM CANDIDATE & ALLIANCE MEMBER ANNOUNCES FEDERAL TORY LEADERSHIP
BID
LEAVE
OF ABSENCE TAKEN FROM BUSINESS GROUP DUTIES
(Rockwood, Ontario)
The www.2cards.ca campaign of the Progressive Group for Independent
Business (PGIB) will be shifting into high gear today with the announcement
of PGIB National President, Craig B. Chandler that he will be seeking
the leadership of the federal Progressive Conservative Party of
Canada.
"The www.2cards.ca
project is dedicated to uniting the Canadian Alliance and the federal
Progressive Conservatives via dual memberships. Having two memberships
insures that there will be a common focus at policy conventions
and a common vision at leadership conventions. It is time that we
end the family feud between the Canadian Alliance and the federal
Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and elect a leader that
has unity between the parties as their number one focus", stated
Leadership hopeful, Craig B. Chandler.
Craig B. Chandler
spends his winters in Rockwood, Ontario and his summers in Calgary,
Alberta. He is a former candidate for the Reform Party of Canada
in Hamilton Mountain, a founding member of the Canadian Alliance,
member of the federal Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and
has strong ties to the Ontario and Alberta Progressive Conservatives.
Mr. Chandler also has the support of various taxpayer advocacy organizations
both regionally and nationally in scale.
"I have spent
the last three months rekindling past supporters in Ontario and
laying the groundwork for an effective campaign in Alberta, British
Columbia and Ontario. I have campaign teams set up in the Greater
Toronto Area, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria and
the 905, 519 areas in Ontario. The money is coming in and the support
is continuously growing. I do seriously believe that with the help
that I am receiving both financially and physically, victory is
achievable. However, to insure my success in this task I am taking
a formal leave of absence from my duties as National President of
the Progressive Group for Independent Business (PGIB)", concluded
Chandler.
