2CARDS.CA DINNER A SUCCESS |

(Edmonton) "I
have never been a member of a political party before. After hearing
what the 2cards.ca program is, it's the only campaign to unite the
right that I have ever heard that will actually work" said
Byron Clark, a respected Edmonton entrepreneur. Now Byron is a card
carrying member of both the Canadian Alliance and the federal Progressive
Conservative party.
The 3/4 sold
out crowd in Edmonton was hosted by PGIB Loyalist and National Upcoming Events
Chairman Sid Helishauer. Sid discussed how he came to PGIB and how
through PGIB he has not only received plenty of business through
the Small Business Network Referral Clubs (SBNRC), but found passion
for the political cause. Sid also, encouraged the members gathered
to continue with their support for the PGIB and to go out of their
way to do business with fellow PGIB members.
Mr. Chandler's
introduction was met with enthusiastic applause. The tone of this
meeting especially after Jean Chretien decided not to continue on
as Prime Minister and Liberal leader was a very serious one. It
drilled home the urgency of the need for the Canadian Alliance and
the Progressive Conservatives to forget their family feud and unite!
A united party can beat Paul Martin's Liberals in a heart beat,
however, without reconciliation Paul Martin (PM) will be PM forever.
Paul Martin after all has increased taxes and CPP premiums higher
than any other Finance Minister in decades, however, that is another
story better saved for another day.
Board members
of the Canadian Alliance and Federal Progressive Conservatives for
some Edmonton area ridings were on hand and intently listened to
the well spoken, but, visibly tired PGIB National President, Craig
B. Chandler. It was refreshing to see Alliance and Conservative
activists who were viciously at each others throats last election,
break bread and discuss issues and strategy with a true heartfelt
desire for a united right.
The PGIB message
that conservatives must focus on common policies rather than obsess
about leadership is getting through and our President's nation wide
tour will clearly deliver this message. Overall, last nights event
was a success with lot's of business done between members and new
memberships sold for the Alliance, Progressive Conservatives and
the PGIB itself.
PROGRESSIVE
CONSERVATIVE CONVENTION STARTS TODAY |
|
(Edmonton) Tonight
marks a new chapter in the saga to unite Canada's conservative movement.
The decisions made at this convention will either turn the page
to a new beginning or will mark the last chapter that will lead
to the final conclusion of the federal Progressive Conservative
Party of Canada. Although the controversial polices and constitutional
amendments being proposed are not up for discussion tonight, the
2cards.ca campaign shifts into a full frontal assault form this
day forward until victory in the defeat of resolution 9 is achieved
later this weekend.
The agenda for
today is not much more than Management meetings, National Council
meetings and the Progressive Conservative Youth Federation (PCYF)
General Meeting. Tomorrow the real campaigning commences.
